There is an extra bottom strap button hole, and the top strap button has been replaced. The label is missing from the inside as sometimes happens with older Gibson's. This is often done on Gibson's of this era to improve tone over the factory wooden bridges. The bridge has been re-glued and the original wood tune-o-matic style bridge (included) was replaced with a modern style. The outline of the original black stinger can be seen in the right light and angle. It is possible that there was a headstock repair but it is difficult to say for certain.

The back of the headstock has been over-sprayed and the serial is no longer present. A solid repair that doesn't stand out due to the walnut finish.

There is a crack repair on the treble side of the bottom bout. There have been some repairs and modifications to the guitar making it an affordable option with all of the tone and cool factor. Lots of finish checking throughout the body of the guitar. The original pickguard is un-warped and the color is still vibrant. The guitar features a natural top with walnut stained back, sides, and neck, as opposed to the standard all natural or all sunburst finish. It's tone can't be replicated by any other model. The binding is all intact on both the body and neck. It's sounds huge and when you hit it hard with a pick it'll blow your mind. The original frets still have some life left in them and the guitar plays nicely up and down the fret board with low action. This particular example is a great players grade piece. Pete Townshend wrote "Pinball Wizard" on a 1968 J-200 that he picked out at Manny's in New York in 1968.
